On December 15-18 of this year, at the para powerlifting World Cup held in Dubai, UAE, where 243 athletes from 40 countries gathered, Armenia was represented by Greta Vardanyan, a weightlifter from Gyumri, who competes in this tournament in the weight category up to 55 kg.

Greta Vardanyan's competition took place today, where our athlete successfully performed 3 approaches and won the title of champion by clearly lifting the 85, 90 and 93 kg barbells with three approaches. She also won a gold medal in the summation of lifted weights.

This is an unprecedented success. Congratulations to our athlete, Greta, whose great return to the sport started with a victory. There is a tough road to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and we wish our athlete the best of luck.
