The Foundations for the Development of Wheelchair Curling were laid

Dear friends, our team has already returned to Armenia.

Let me briefly introduce you to our visit to St. Petersburg and the games held there.

From September 20 to 25, the international wheelchair curling tournament “Nevsky Cup 2023” took place in St. Petersburg. Ten teams took part in the competition: Russia-1,2,3, St. Petersburg -1,2, Samara, Moscow, Belarus and Armenia.

All teams received a very friendly welcome, the competition took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere. By the way, our team, consisting of five participants, part of the <<Federation of Curling and Wheelchair Curling of Armenia>> OO participated for the first time. Despite this, there were episodes that were noticed and praised by much more experienced athletes.

This was all a very great achievement for our team. From now on, we must make every effort to achieve the best results in the future.

We express special gratitude to the management of Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC for sponsoring and providing the opportunity for wheelchair curling to be born in Armenia.

We also express our gratitude to the management and staff of the Armenian National Paralympic Committee.
