The 2023 World Para Athletics Grand Prix Championship Games held in Jesolo, Italy from May 12 to 14. 

Para-athletes Smbat Karapetyan and Arman Sargsyan participated in the 100m, 400m and 800m races. the National Team. The head of the delegation is vice President of NPC Armenia Gevorg Hovhannisyan.

Para-athletes Smbat Karapetyan and Arman Sargsyan participated in the 100m, 400m and 800m distance races.

Competitions in the indicated running areas were conducted both by classification and series and mixed classification groups.

With the final results:

Smbat Karapetyan

In the T54 classification group, he took the 2nd position in the 100m and 400m races, and the 3rd position in the 800m.

According to the serial competition, he again took the 2nd place in the 100m and 400m races and the 5th place in the 800m race.

In the 800m mixed group, he took the 9th position among 21 athletes.

Arman Sargsyan

In the T53 classification group, he took the 3rd position in the 800m race, and he took the 4th position in the 100m and 400m races.

According to the serial competition, he took the 4th and 5th positions in the 100m and 400m races, and the 7th position in the 800m.

He took the 16th place among 21 athletes in the 800m mixed group race.

The two athletes performed excellently and recorded unprecedented results in the history of Armenian para-athletics.

Our third athlete, Sargis Mkhitaryan, made his debut in the international arena. He passed the sports category ahead of the championship and received the F57 class in the shot put and discus throw.

Sargis had an excellent performance in all 6 approaches and took 7th place among 16 competitors with a result of 9.59m. Due to the injury, he did not have the opportunity to show the maximum result, as well as to participate in the discus throwing competition.

Athletes' successes are the result of good coaching. Thanks to the joint and dedicated work of the team's head coach Susanna Martirosyan, senior coach Hovhannes Gevorgyan, athletes' personal trainers Arman Piroyan and Ara Galstyan, we were able to achieve these unprecedented results.

The team completely fulfilled the task set before it. Thanks to continuous and consistent work, the team will be able to overcome the norms set for the highest international championships in the near future.
